Originating in Southern California, chefs and proprietors Gerard Monte & Hector Rosano have established themselves in the North Georgia community by providing excellent, 5-star cuisine at catered events both near and far. It is the level of service and attention to detail that keeps their catering company, Coast 2 Coast Catering & Events at the forefront of their field.

     Famous for their dishes named after women who have inspired them, Gerard fashioned his cooking style after his mother, Madeline and her three sisters. He believes his self-taught talent is what keeps his approach fresh and modern with truly original recipes. Hector’s approach, also self-taught, is based on his 30-years plus of cooking for the masses which blends classic techniques with modern local flavors.

     Both gentlemen were born and raised in Southern California where they truly catered to the stars with their restaurant and catering company based in the heart of Hollywood. The have worked with such notables as Dorris Roberts ( the mom from Everybody Loves Raymond ), the cast and crew from L.A. Law, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Queen Latifa, Blair Underwood, Wanda Sykes, Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest and the final 10 contestants of season one American idol just to name a few.

     The two were inspired on a buying trip to Atlanta in 2005 and vowed to return to the lure of the South. The did return 6-months later and purchased a home in Canton, Georgia. After finalizing all business in Los Angeles, they moved to North Georgia to start a smaller, more relaxed version of their L.A. business, “Although our work takes us all over Georgia, we are Happy to return to our little town  of Jasper” says Gerard. “the farms, pastures and mountain vistas calm the soul and nowhere offers more of a sense of community than the South”.

     Gerard & Hector consider themselves a boutique catering company offering quality foods and personalized service. It is not often that you get to work directly with the owners who will plan your event, prepare your foods and be there on the day of your event to ensure every detail is handled. Additionally, they provide flowers, cakes, desserts, rentals, décor and staffing for any event regardless of size.
